Primordious Cheese

For this week's raid it was decided that we'd extend the raid lock and start were we left off last week. Which was at Ji-Kun. After frying that chicken we than spent a good amount of time trying to get Durumu down. There were several raiders who weren't there the night we first killed the boss and I had to pay attention to more stuff since I was tanking this time instead of dps. I swear Durumu always casts lingering gaze on me as soon as I taunt him. Decisions, decisions, drop a purple puddle in the middle of the room or lose aggro so I can run the puddle to the outside?

But look! I'm totally tanking! See! Bone Shield! Proof!

Wednesday had us starting at Primordious. We were supposed to go watch or read a guide so we'd be prepared for the fight. The first attempt we tried to use the official strategy of kitting, killing blobs, and getting mutations. The next attempt we used the start Arv suggested of parking the boss in the center of the room and dpsing the snot out of him.

And we even got an achievement! Score for brute force and cheesing though fights! And look! I'm a tank! That's odd, it's Wednesday, I'm pretty sure I don't tank on Wednesdays. Isn't that a violation of my raiding contract? Oh! Right, I don't have one.

The fight went so well that no one wanted to stand around for a kill picture. But I did get a nice lineup shot of the people that stuck around. From the left there's Shadeey, Van, me, Arv, and Psynite.

Or next challenge was the trash before Dark Animus. It tooks us several tries but we eventually managed a plan to kill those mogu. The rest of the night was spent learning the Dark Animus fight. It was a bit of a bummer not to get two new boss kill last night but hopefully next week we'll have it.

  1. Gratz on the kill and achievement!

Good luck on Dark Animus. I am scared of that fight!

    1. That fight scares me as well. I didn't realize it was so complicated because lfr just ignores mechanics and blasts the crap out of everything. But we're getting it.

    1. I always feel shock that people invite me back to tank. I never think of myself as a good tank. Merely competent. But after the dungeons I've had with my hunter I realize how rare even competent can be.

Everyone is so happy that you keep coming back :)

    3. I'm pretty certain the only way they can stop me from returning each week is to sit me down and say they want me to switch to boomkin. Or to tell me to go away... that might work... Maybe... No promises.

  3. You can blame Moog for being on a boat instead of being online tanking. ;-)

    1. Lol. I probably shouldn't post so late at night. I think I'm funnier than I actually am. But really? Who'd pick a boat over raiding with us? Bah, who am I kidding, unless you get seasick or the boat is a rowboat the boat would probably win. Maybe. Possibly. I better stop thinking about boats before I feel sick.

  4. You're an awesome tank, don't let anyone else tell you different, lol. Besides, I think Zug appreciates it more, since he hates tanking when Moog is out before your DK came along.

    1. It wasn't really very obvious that Zug really didn't like tanking. If you forgot to wear your glasses, muted the mic, and spent the whole fight trying to dps a wall, you'd never notice that Zug would rather be dps. And I have to be careful about telling myself I'm a good tank. If I say it too much I get delusions of my abilities and forget to move out of puddles because, "lol, that's what ams is for, duh! Crap, I'm dead."
