10 Days of Pet Battling - Day 6

Day 6: What pets have you got in your favorite team(s)?

I'm still working on getting different pets leveled and am still working my way though the pet trainers but the three pets I use as my default team are:

Gregarious Grell
The Grell doesn't hit hard but it makes a good tank. Everytime the Grell does damage it heals a percentage of it's health because it's a humanoid and it has a pretty decent heal as well. Because of these two reasons the Grell is great for catching pets. It also works well for battling pets as well. Unless it's being hit by undead damage.

Fel Flame
I was working though a questline on my rogue to get an item for a transmog that I wanted to put her in and decided to battle some flames while I was there. I was really impressed with the amount of damage a fel flame could do and was pretty happy when I quickly found a blue one. I've been really happy to have this pet on my team ever since.

and Lil' Deathwing
I regret not getting a Deathy murloc pet so when I saw the Collector's Edition pet for Cata was a Lil' Deathwing I broke down and ordered one. I really loved the pet but I never used it much. I figured with pet battles I was going to use my Deathwing whether it was good or not. But I've been pretty happy with him. He has some abilities that make me laugh because they remind me of the fight against Deathwing: Elementium Bolt, Roll, and Catacylsm. But he also hits really hard. I like stuff that just goes boom. Sure Deathwing can't take very many hits but he really shouldn't have to if all his abilities hit.

My team is pretty decent but an undead team will annihilate me. I did discover that it works well against the Darkmoon Faire trainer. I should go find myself some critters. I do have a fluxfire feline that I sometimes use instead of one of the other pets but I still have a lot of pet leveling to do.

10 Days of Pet Battling - Day 5

Day 5: What pet do you want more than any other pet? What would you do to get it?

Just one? What pets do I want more than any other pets? The cats and a hand XD

1.  Spectral Tiger Cub
It's a kitty and it's pretty. However, considering it's E-bay price there's no way I'm getting this pet anytime soon. Maybe someday but not at this time.

2. Cinder Kitten
I really want a Cinder Kitten. I always felt a little sad that I wasn't raiding on my druid during Firelands and that I would never get the staff that would turn my druid into a fire kitty. But to have a fire kitty is the next best thing. This is one pet on my list that I might actually break down and get. But I keep hoping if I wait long enough I can get it for $5 instead of $10. Which is the point that broke me down on the other Blizzard Store pets.

3. Crawling Claw
I really want a Crawling Claw. I love The Addams Family and I really want a crawling claw named Thing. It's not a very original name but it's the name that I want. I've leveled up archeology on my druid in the hope of getting either this pet or the dragon mount recipe. I suppose I should level up some my archeology on other toons in the hope of finally getting this pet. Someday. Someday.

4. Nightsaber Cub
Kitty! Fine. I want all the cats, cubs, sabers, kittens, and whatnot. I could almost talk myself into buying this pet. Almost. Maybe. Not yet. I have enough pets left to track down that I can distract myself.

5. Wind Rider Cub
It's so cute! And the stuffed animal is pretty adorable as well. And it's got a kitty-cat face! Some day. Maybe. It's something to think about when I've tracked down more pets.

10 Days of Pet Battling - Day 4

Day 4: What was the most epic pet battles/capture you ever had?

My most epic pet battle was when I discovered the legendary pets. I was working on my Operation:Shieldwall dailies and I saw a strange paw print on my map. I landed and saw Skitterer Xi'a. I thought he would be an interesting pet to try and catch so I started the battle. I was surprised to see that the pet was alone and then I saw his health. I quickly switched to my Grell and began the battle. After my Grell died the rest of my team quickly fell but I was really close and I realized the pet couldn't be caught. But I really wanted to beat it. So I healed my pets and decided to try again. This time I started with my Fel Flame and then my Lil' Deathwing to get as much damage done to Xi'a as possible. The Fel Flame died pretty quickly but Deathwing almost managed to eliminate all of Xi'a's health. But eventually my Lil' Deathwing was eliminated and all that was left was my Grell. And I managed to beat Skitterer Xi'a! And got a lousy few charms. I haven't battled another legendary pet since. I feel that I should finish battling all the pet trainers first.

10 Days of Pet Battling - Day 3

Day 3: Who is your favourite pet? If you could bring it out into the real world, tell me what you imagine you would be doing.

How can I pick just one as a favorite? Well, the one that I would most like to bring into the real world is the Feline Familiar.
Yes, it's a cat. With glowing eyes and a hat. It's magical and perfect. I've named my Tuttle. There's a bit of a story behind the name.

My real cat is a grey tabby that I've named Radar after a character from the tv show M.A.S.H.  When I spent some time in the college dorms and my family teased me about not having my cat with me.  So I made up an imaginary black cat that was absolutely perfect and since he was invisible he was the perfect cat to take into a dorm room. But my cat needed a name. Thankfully my mom was watching the first season of  M.A.S.H. and we reached one of my favorite episodes called "Tuttle" and the plot involved Hawkeye's invisible friend Tuttle. Tuttle happened to be rather perfect which also made the name perfect for my invisible cat. When WoW allowed for players to name their pets I named one of my tabby cats Radar and I knew the Feline Familiar was the perfect cat to name Tuttle. If any cat could turn invisible it would be that cat.

10 Days of Pet Battling - Day 2

Day 2: What pets don't you like and why?

I don't like the frog pets.  Both old and new model.  As I mentioned in my 20 days of blogging - I don't like frogs.  I really like the older models better then the newer ones because they are boxy and less like a real frog.  I could tolerate them.  I have frogs in my collection because they're easy to get but I never have them out.  I just really don't like frogs.  I don't have an issue with other pets even the roaches and snakes are fine but I just can't stand frogs.

10 Days of Pet Battling

Day 1: Your first day pet battling.

The first day of pet battling was actually in the beta.  During one of the few times I actually decided to go sneak a peak at what was coming. I remember that I didn't have any pets because there was something funny going on with the character transfer.  So all I had where the account pets like the core-hound and the warbot. So those were the pets I used.  I got them to level five and then figured I was tired of all the bugging out that was going on with the pet fights.

My first pet battle team after MoP was released was my Lil' Deathwing (I spent how much for the collector's edition I was damn well getting some use from that pet, turns out it was a good choice), my Clockwork Rocket Bot, and my Voodoo Figurine.  It was interesting.  I had no idea what I was really doing. I still don't really know what I'm doing.  I just wander around and capture stuff and hope it's blue.

Anyway, that first day I learned the training on my brand-new panda monk and then decided that wasn't my best choice for pet battler. She didn't even have a mount so her traveling speed was slow.  So I dug out my mage since she could traveler to the cities much faster then the rest.  And I went on a catching and battling spree until it became quite late.  Then I returned to leveling my toons.
